For my digital design 1 class - we had to make a movie poster. This is not for an actual movie, and I wouldn't follow the website link at the bottom - that was just for looks and it actually leads to a Christian single's site. Ah-hem. Anyway. It had to be an original concept, so here's my summary...

This is the story of the five Solver siblings, two boys, three girls, all growing up in Oxford, England, and all caught between two worlds: the world of the stuffy Oxford University elite and the world of the early 20th Century, plagued by war and depression. The Solvers soon find themselves on different sides of a great intellectual divide… the two eldest wanting to retreat into the fantastic land of books and learning offered to them by the aged Oxford college buildings, and the three youngest wanting to rush headfirst into the cold-hard reality of war and poverty. Their five stories illustrate that neither way of thinking in the extreme is correct – one cannot bury their heads in a book and hope the troubles of the world go away, and yet one can also not belittle the awesome power imagination can have to heal many all-too-real wounds. The question is now not whether their beliefs will survive… but whether their family will survive.
